Still Life Gallery.
Still life is my absolute favourite subject to paint.
I am fascinated by the changes in light and shadow, and I especially like paintings which have shiny or transparent areas.

The intricate shapes and colour changes within each olly, makes them a delight to paint.
I have sold several paintings in this sort of vain, and I have done quite a few commissions in this style. They are always very popular, and much more appealing when you see them in the flesh.

Re-worked
This is the same image as the one above, but I decided to add more masks.
I also added some touches of gold guilding flakes for extra interest.

Memories of Leanne.
15x8"
Acrylics
Stretched canvas.
I had a baby daughter who passed away when she was just 6 weeks old. She was born with a large encephalocele. The Drs warned me that there was a high chance that she wouldn`t be born alive. I found it too painful to paint a portrait of her, mainly because I could not see through the tears every time that I tried, so I did the picture you see here.
Each one of these items hold special memories of her, so this is as good as having her portrait painted, and maybe one day I will be able to paint her portrait.
This is a special way to remember a loved one.

Christmas is on the way again....
...so it is time to make a start on doing some paintings for on Christmas cards.
The painting you see here is one I did several years ago, and I have to say that it is one of my favorite paintings of all time. The bright, bold colours and the light are almost blinding.
When ever I see this painting it gives me the excitement of Christmas.
